About Me

I study American politics with a focus on education policy. My research and teaching interests include race and ethnic politics, political behavior, policy feedback, and K12 education policy. I am particularly interested in the feedback effects of public education on the political development of children of color. My dissertation focused on how high school demographics and school discipline affect the early adult political participation of children of color.

Currently, I am a Presidential Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University in the Department of Politics. In August 2024, I will join the Department of Political Science at the University of Colorado, Boulder as an Assistant Professor. I received a joint PhD in political science and public policy from Duke University in 2023. Previously, I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018.
